As a client of Trauma Therapy, you have the following rights:

You are entitled to:

  • Be treated with respect, dignity, and professionalism throughout every interaction. You will never face harsh, unreasonable demands or lose any legal rights.
  • Receive services free from discrimination based on race, religion, gender, sexual orientation, disability, or any other protected characteristic.
  • Know the full cost of services upfront, before any session begins.
  • Expect strict confidentiality and privacy, in line with legal and ethical standards, with these limited exceptions:
    • Mandatory reporting of suspected child abuse or neglect
    • Disclosure required to prevent imminent harm to you or others
    • Information needed for legal proceedings or regulatory compliance
    • Defense in any professional claim you may bring against us

As a client of Trauma Therapy, you have the following responsibilities:

To help us support you effectively, you agree to:

  • Provide honest and complete information about your current and past mental, emotional, physical, and life circumstances.
  • Clarify understanding of the treatment plan and expectations if anything is unclear.
  • Pay for services in full before each session begins.
  • Attend scheduled appointments and give at least 24 hours’ notice if you need to cancel or reschedule.
  • Follow agreed-upon recommendations. Therapy is voluntary, but your practitioner will tailor guidance to your specific needs. While you’re free to choose, not following key recommendations may limit progress or lead to discharge - details will be fully explained in your session.
